Merry Christmas To All
Posted by under General
Merry Christmas to all! Its nearly that time again and I’ve got a few prezzies bought for those that are close to me. I’ve been spending my money very carefully this year due to being out of work and out of money. This year I’m placing value on having a good time with friends and family, not what they buy me, not that they buy me very much anyway lol! Most of the world media seems bent on single handedly crashing the world economy, reporting all bad news with glee. And what about Greece? I bet that they’re having a hard time after all the rioting. I can’t see their shops and markets being too well stocked at the moment. I hope they’re going to get their country back in order. A friend recently mentioned Thailand as a prime example of how population can take control: They just went and sat down in an airport for two weeks until a judge ruled that the government must stand down for a general election. On the whole it was peaceful.
Anyway, hopefully the economy will start to regain some of its health so that the job market perks back up. Once I’m out of savings I’ll really be screwed unless I get some work. I may even have to look abroad, but with my girlfriend being in such a good secure job, she’ll have to stay behind. I think I may have a better chance in Ireland than over here, as their computer market is more buoyant. For how long though is the main question. I have family over there so it isn’t too bad, but I’ll miss the girlfriend as we’ve been apart before when I worked in Germany for a year. She would fly over every second weekend or so, it was great fun when we got together but it did put a strain on our relationship. In poorer places like the Phillipines family often get split up as one parent has to work overseas for years at a time, only seeing each other once a year for a few weeks. Now that must be hard
